The Helsinki Education Week 2018 Announcement
Helsinki Education Week in 2018
Helsinki Education Week is being organized for the first time from November 5th to 9th 2018, by the City of Helsinki and its Education Division, in partnership with HundrED and Helsingin Sanomat. The theme of the week is excellence and equity in education – two core values of the Finnish education system.
The target group for the week-long fest is not only the world’s teaching experts, but also all Finnish education stakeholders, especially, the teachers, pupils, and parents of Helsinki.
During the Helsinki Education Week, anyone interested in the future of teaching and learning – from schools to kindergartens, from teachers to pupils, to parent companies can either organize or participate in interesting events.
Helsinki Education Week has four separate program tracks: Hands-On, Dialogue, Network and Explore.
- The Hands-on track will have a variety of workshops organized by teachers and students, both local and international.
- The Dialogue track will consist of a plenty of discussion sessions based on multiple teacher and student needs.
- The Network track will host various networking events with a focus on co-learning and co-creation, and finally
- The Explore track will provide our attendees access to various educational innovations and learning environments.
Helsinki Education Week events can be large or small. Any stakeholder or education enthusiast, local or international, can suggest an event idea on the HEW 2018 website, www.helsinkieducationweek.com. Proposal registrations are open until the 5th of October 2018.
The first version of the Helsinki Education Week 2018 program will be released mid-October.
