Helsinki Education Week hosts versatile networking events!
Helsinki Education Week 2020 is a week-long celebration of learning in Helsinki that highlights the great work being done in the city's daycare centres, schools and educational institutions, as well as enables collaboration with international experts in education. The week's theme is Learning by Design and the programme emphasises collaboration, wellbeing and e-learning.
The programme is divided into four different categories: Hands On, Dialogue, Network and Explore. The Network category encompasses versatile events for networking and product development.
Stadin AO, the the Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute, brings two interesting events to this category: Työelämäyhteistyö ammatillisessa koulutuksessa - työllisty, työllistä ja kehity and Vocational growth with and inside of companies - principal and case. Petra Morbin hosts the same event in both Finnish and in English, and presents the collaboration between vocational education and working life in Finland. Come along and learn more about employment in vocational education and supporting learning outside of the classroom!
Would you like to know more about how Finnish education is promoted internationally? The event Parenting Finland for Chinese Parents and Educators introduces and promotes Finnish education and parenting, and how the Chinese education system can learn from the Finnish one. The main idea is that better education and parenthood is the key to better wellbeing for children. The event Localizing the Finnish model for China: High engaging student-centred pedagogy training for teachers again focuses on student-centred pedagogy and highlights important features of teacher education in Finland.
