How can the natural world serve as a model for developing 21st C skills?
The natural world is a collaborative, adaptable, resilient and creative system that has been sustainably solving problems for more than 4 billion years. For every skill that teachers, education leaders and policy experts have pointed at as important for the future, we can find an active, functioning, and thriving example in nature.
At ALBA we have designed a modular curriculum focused on exploring natural strategies that deliver on the benefits of being creative, collaborative, adaptable and resilient — skills we strive to develop in the context of 21st century education.
Our goal is to help future generations build healthy connections with themselves, their communities and their environment so they can participate responsibly in the systems that surround them.
We invite you to explore with us how a systems view of life and learning can help solve the challenge of moving 21st century skill development from rhetoric to practice.
