Meritalo at Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute invites you to a virtual visit

Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute provides both young and adult students with a diverse learning environment and supports students’ well-being, broad and practical vocational skills development and lifelong learning. It also provides students with knowledge and skills necessary in further studies and promotes employment.

The Meritalo unit of Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute is located in central Helsinki, by the seaside in the Merihaka district.

In Meritalo, the students are studying towards four different qualifications: 

• vocational upper secondary qualification in Hairdressing and Beauty Care 
• vocational upper secondary qualification in Textiles and Fashion Industry
• further vocational qualification in Textiles and Fashion Industry
• specialist vocational qualification in Textiles and Fashion Industry

In addition to the vocational qualification studies, Meritalo offers Helsinki Skills Center’s training for adult Helsinki-resident immigrants, and youth workshop activities of the textile dyeing group Ateljee Rotondo.

Students of Meritalo take in customers for barbershop, hairdressing and beauty salon services in Stadin AO’s own beauty and hair salon Merikauneus. Stadin Luova creative store offers repair sewing, tailoring and styling services for customers.

Meritalo's pride, in addition to the renewed facilities, is the warm atmosphere, cheerful students and expert teaching staff.
