Art in the Times of Corona: Well-Being for Changing Realities
When was the last time the world felt 'normal'?
The shifted reality of these times has left us all craving for a return to the 'normal'. For a reversal. And this agonising wait is the perfect recipe for what we colloquially call 'bad days', but is actually, a sign of shaken, if not deteriorating well-being.
At Slam Out Loud we believe in the power of art for fostering and nurturing resilience, well-being, mindfulness, and creativity - especially for young learners. The mere act of finding your voice and being able to express your emotions, we believe, is an experience that empowers individuals to foster their own well-being; which is crucial now more than ever.
In this workshop, we will learn to make and perform some poems, and explore ourselves through art.
Join us on the 6th of November, 2020 to indulge in some art, introspection, and sharing that will empower individuals to foster their own well-being and that of their families-everyday.
The workshop is hosted by Jigyasa Labroo (Co-Founder) and a student member of Slam Out Loud, an Indian for-mission, non-profit that enables children from the most vulnerable communities to find their voice through creative expression, build socio-emotional learning and 21st-century skills to dream bigger and create their future.
