Practical Energy: A workshop on making your energy work for you
A learning environment is guided by the teachers who design experiences that encourage learners to create knowledge.
A learning experience will be designed to elicit responses and reflections across various developmental areas including emotional, cognitive, physical and energetic. The focus of this workshop is to elicit responses and reflections about the energetic well-being of the students in our care.
So many external and internal factors affect how our energy is flowing. Contaminants, emotions, stress, food, and thoughts are some of those factors. These factors can lead to emotional imbalances such as anxiety, depression, and listlessness, or cognitive imbalances such as forgetfulness, lack of concentration, or processing difficulty. We cannot always control the factors in our environments, but we can set our bodies nd minds up for success by encouraging our energy pathways to be strong and confident.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to replicate a series of 6 energy boosters based on the work of Donna Eden with a focus on how teachers and parents can utilise them with the learners in their care.
This workshop requires physical movement. No skill level or previous knowledge is required. All activity can be done from a sitting position.
