Making Young Voices Heard: Public Speaking & Self-Expression
Public Speaking Pro™ hands-on interactive and engaging workshop and discussion for all ages.
Making young voices heard is about equipping children and youth with the tools to help them enhance their oracy, communication, self-expression and public speaking skills. When given the opportunity, children are able to demonstrate originality of thought and depth of vision. With the right instruments and preparation the young voices carry depth and substance transcending age, geography and other boundaries.
The workshop explores some of the best practices in teaching public speaking, oracy and self-expression skills to children and youth through exercises, practical examples and hands on interaction!
Educators, leaders, parents, youth and interested professionals are invited. Teachers may register a class of students (grade 9 / high school) to participate in this event.
The workshop aims at providing an engaging learning experience to its participants. Within the interactive workshop format, a scope of tools and techniques will be introduced to enable students and workshop participants to test and perfect their skills in public speaking and self-expression.
Workshop facilitator: Dr. Anna Nikina-Ruohonen, published scholar and book author, Founder of www.publicspeaking.fi.
