Esports for fact checking

Students can now compete in an Esports for fact checking. Bridging is a new knowledge sport whereby students compete in connecting evidence to claims for important news as part of media literacy training and students collaborate in protecting the community from misinformation and disinformation. In addition to media literacy, bridging helps students develop executive functions including critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and collaboration. Bridging also generates content and media, data, and knowledge artifacts that are useful beyond the context of the competition. We are developing a bridging league and tournament to further engage students. A Chrome browser extension is now available for pilots. There will also be Firefox, Safari, and Brave browser extensions. Learn about bridging and the opportunity to join in the pilots.
